Ellen Doherty is Chief Creative Officer for Fred Rogers Productions, overseeing creation of television and digital content for the company’s current PBS KIDS series—Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Donkey Hodie, Peg + Cat, and Odd Squad—as well as developing new properties including the forthcoming animated series, Alma’s Way. Ellen is also the creator and executive producer of the award-winning preschool nature series, Through the Woods, now airing on PBS KIDS. In 2018, Ellen was nominated for a Primetime Emmy® Award for the non-fiction special Mister Rogers: It’s You I Like. An Emmy Award-winning producer and writer, Ellen was previously Executive Producer and Story Editor of the PBS KIDS series Cyberchase. She began her career on the celebrated PBS KIDS series Reading Rainbow and has a B.A. in Communications from Boston College.
