Marcy Gunther, Executive Producer and Director of Media Development for Children’s Media, GBH

Marcy Gunther, Executive Producer and Director of Media Development for Children’s Media at GBH, is a multi-Emmy award winning producer with over 20 years of experience developing and producing educational children’s media.

Marcy got her start at GBH in the mailroom—(Arthur’s mailroom that is!) reading and responding to Arthur’s viewer fan mail where she learned first-hand the profound impact our programs have on the audiences we serve.

In addition to overseeing the Development slate for Children’s Media, Marcy is the Executive Producer of WOMBATS! (working title) a new PBS KIDS Ready To Learn preschool series that will premiere in 2023. She also served as Senior Producer on the first season of the PBS Peabody-Award winning series Molly of Denali. Prior to this, she was the Producer of The Ruff Ruffman Show, FETCH! With Ruff Ruffman and Content Producer for the Emmy-Award winning children’s series ZOOM.

Marcy has also worked on Sesame Street and Arthur, and has produced projects for The United Way, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Smithsonian, and the National Wildlife Federation. Marcy holds a BFA in Film/Animation/Video from the Rhode Island School of Design.
