Disney Branded Television

Rick Clodfelter, lead, Disney Branded Television (DBT) Content Acquisitions and Partnerships, is responsible for sourcing, identifying and negotiating third party content opportunities for Disney Branded Television and the Disney kids and family platforms. His responsibilities include establishing and managing strategic partnerships with third-party content providers based on Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution's needs and brand positioning. He also represents DBT at markets and events to source new content opportunities and meets with current partners.

Prior to this role, Clodfelter founded Garden Place Media, a consulting firm specializing in identifying, acquiring and executing strategies for kids and family content to drive revenue across media platforms.

Clodfelter is formerly senior director of Content Strategy And Acquisitions for Universal Kids, where he sourced and acquired programming and identified content partnerships necessary to build the channel brands. He also assisted with long-term strategic planning by negotiating and securing rights when appropriate content was identified. He represented the U.S. network at all major programming markets, including MIPTV, MIPCOM and Kidscreen Summit.

Previously, Clodfelter was director, Content Acquisitions and Co-Productions, for Cartoon Network and Boomerang. In this capacity, he was responsible for acquiring pre-produced series, specials, short-form products and series co-productions that fit the Cartoon Network and Boomerang brands for exposure on all platforms.

Clodfelter grew up in Missouri, where he attended Culver-Stockton College and received a Bachelor of Science in elementary education and a Bachelor of Arts in music. His Master of Arts degree in teaching is from Webster University.
